There are many ways to stay connected to classmates, fellow alumni, and the college. One of the easiest is to get involved with the Alumni Association — all Purchase alumni are automatically members and every member has an opportunity to submit a nomination to join the PCAA Board of Directors.
The mission of the Purchase College Alumni Association (PCAA) is to cultivate fellowship among alumni and foster mutually productive and rewarding relations between alumni and the College community.
Letter from the Purchase College Alumni Association President
Dear Fellow Alumni,
It is my honor to serve as president of the Purchase College Alumni Association. On behalf of the more than 29,000 worldwide alumni of the College, I am excited to lead work with all of our Board, committees, and members to create new initiatives and experiences for our community.
As an undergrad, we were encouraged to learn, grow and Think Wide Open. As a graduate, I am proud to stay connected to my alma mater. The Alumni Association opened the door to meaningful relationships that enable me to give back to the college I love while having fun reliving shared memories with friends and former classmates.
The PCAA is doing incredible work. Year-round, we host a range of career networking receptions, cultural alumni programming, and reunions. Our Board has diverse representation from every decade and nearly every school and conservatory. Our affinity groups—the Purchase Women’s Leadership Network, Purchase LatinX Alumni Network, Purchase Black Alumni Network, and Purchase LGBTQ+ Alumni Network—create programming for alumni and students. And this year, we launched our educational learning opportunity and created new initiatives including education and informative mixers.
The PCAA is filled with bright, innovative, and talented individuals … and we invite you to get involved! Connect and engage with fellow alum, campus staff and faculty, as well as high-ranking SUNY decision makers. Volunteer to serve on one of our committees or Affinity Groups. Share an idea for a virtual event or program for our community. Become a mentor. Make a financial gift to the Purchase Fund to support our students, faculty, and campus projects. Explore these pages to learn how you can be a part of keeping our Purchase community strong for years to come.
Together, we can ensure that students of tomorrow, regardless of their academic or personal background, have access to a Purchase education and a bright future. We are all #ProofofPurchase!
All the best,
Stephanie Blum ’13 (Arts Management)
President, Purchase College Alumni Association
