Volunteer
We encourage everyone to get involved in campus sustainability efforts from the moment they arrive at Purchase.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for passionate volunteers to help with all of the projects happening on campus! Volunteer opportunities are open to faculty, staff, and students. It’s a great way to meet people across campus and do something good for the environment.
Contact allyson.jackson@purchase.edu via email and ask to be added to the Sustainability Volunteers email list. You will get emails about new projects and when help is needed on any of our current projects including:
- FreeStore
- FreeNew
- Food Recovery Network
- Native Plant Garden and Nursery
- Campus composting
- Reproductive justice garden
Green Leadership Opportunities for Students
Students can also get involved in the Purchase College Student Government’s sustainability projects, including paid service director positions as Sustainability Coordinator, FreeStore Director, and Compost Master. Find more information about the PSGA on PantherLink
Campus Senate Sustainability Committee
Comprised of faculty, staff, and students, the Sustainability Advisory and Outreach Committee works to establish a culture of environmental stewardship as a fundamental practice and priority for Purchase College, both immediately and for the future. Meetings are open to everyone.
