Kelsey “Chloë” Sucena
Kelsey “Chloë” Sucena combines analog photography and text to document the beauty and precarity of rural queer life. Her self-published photobook project Paralytic States was a finalist for the Lucie Foundation Photobook Prize; her photographs and writing have appeared in MATTE, Soft Lightning, and other independent publications. She also contributed research and writing to the award-winning What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843–1999. Sucena is an assistant professor of photography at Alfred University.
