Ian Lewandowski

Ian Lewandowski explores queer life, performance, and community through intimate, theatrical portraiture. His photographs became two monographs: The Ice Palace Is Gone (Magic Hour Press, 2021) and My Man Mitch (Kult Books, 2022). His work has also appeared in PAPER and been featured in solo exhibitions at CLAMP and the Green Family Art Foundation. The Purchase MFA graduate gives his subjects room to shape how they are seen while building a record of queer spaces and relationships.
