Andrea Modica

Andrea Modica makes intimate, large-format photographs that turn sustained encounters into richly observed portraits of people and place. Her acclaimed books include Treadwell, Minor League, and As We Wait. A Guggenheim and Fulbright fellow, she has exhibited internationally, and her photographs are held by major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. Modica is also a professor of photography at Drexel University, where she continues to mentor emerging artists.
