Andy Moreta Castillo is a Dominican Lighting Designer based out of New York City. He’s someone who ended up in the arts by complete coincidence in high school. However he found a very deep appreciation and grew a large amount of love for the idea of telling stories through light. That also being something that grew stronger throughout my four years at SUNY Purchase. Now he considers lighting to be something that I do in and out of the theatre whether I think about it or not. Something that’s become very embedded in his life but that he finds great pleasure in doing. A recent favorite quote of his is: “If it can be lit, I wanna do it”

Anyway, Beyond all of that he loves food(ask me for recommendations, I’ll never steer you wrong), Meeting people and One Piece(I can talk for days)
