Gabe Stein
Gabe Stein began performing at age seven at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater school, where he developed a strong physical foundation that continues to inform his work as an actor. His first formal theater training took place at the Professional Performing Arts School in its musical theatre program. He later pursued acting at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, further refining his craft before continuing his training at SUNY Purchase.
At Purchase, Gabriel has taken on a range of classical and contemporary roles that have expanded both his technical precision and emotional range. His credits include the the Mayor in Government Inspector (dir. Virginia Scott), Mr. Collins in Pride and Prejudice (dir. James Dean Palmer), Trigorin in The Seagull (dir. Alex Correia), Luke in Mosquitoes (dir. Joshua Fardon), and Gabriel/Dog in Mad Forest (dir. Christopher McCann).
Gabriel is drawn to character-driven storytelling that balances intellect, humor, and emotional depth. With a foundation in movement and a strong background in both classical and contemporary text, he continues to pursue work that challenges him artistically and demands specificity.
