Destiny Barbour is an artist from New York
Destiny is an actor currently pursuing her BFA in Acting at SUNY Purchase (Class of 2026). Originally trained in opera and soul singing, she brings a strong vocal and physical presence to her work on stage.
At Purchase Repertory Theater, she has appeared as Jane in Pride and Prejudice, Balthasar/Gregory in Romeo and Juliet, Laura Gallagher in Mosquitoes, Shamyáev in The Seagull, Pochakin/Army in The Good Doctor, and Grandmother/Toma in Mad Forest.
More important than any credit on a résumé, Destiny performs because storytelling gives her a space to be bold, curious, and deeply connected to others. It’s where she feels most alive. When she’s not on stage, she spends her time making her own music, dancing whenever she can, and occasionally surprising people with an unexpectedly accurate Dora the Explorer voice.
