Saiida Powell

Heyy! My name is Saiida Powell, and I am a Senior at Purchase, majoring in Sociology. I’m from Manhattan, New York, and my favorite hobbies are knitting and finding new tattoo inspiration!During my time at Purchase, I have met wonderful, creative, open-minded peers. The Sociology department is small, but once I declared my major, I knew I had made the right decision for my career path. I plan to become a therapist once I graduate and continue the required degrees towards my career goal. Purchase has not only helped me academically but emotionally/mentally as well. Although College comes with challenges and trials, I ultimately grew from my college experiences! This summer, I will be your peer mentor and guide for understanding college life.
