Em Rose Stern
Em Rose Stern is an artist born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
City roots, but beach soul. When not acting, Em Rose loves basking in the sun, swimming, and enjoying all nature has to offer. In addition to being a nature lover, you can find her also unwinding with Pilates, reading, watching TV, and spending time with friends and family.
At Purchase, Em Rose had the privilege to work with renowned theatre figure including Tony Award winning Trazana Beverley, Leon Addison Brown, and Elmore James. She was afforded the opportunity to play a wide array of characters, with some of her most cherished roles being Mrs. Van Buren in Intimate Apparel dir. Chantal Jean-Pierre (2024) , Yerma in Yerma dir. Alexandru Mihail (2024), and Stephano in The Tempest dir. Elmore James (2025). Beyond her studies at Purchase, she had the honor of portraying The Foreman in The Audience at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague dir. Lenka Pichlíková (2023).
Em Rose shares profound gratitude for her professors, directors, and fellow company members whose guidance has been instrumental in her artistic journey. From her experience, she understands that true growth is not about thinking outside of the box, but rather removing the box entirely.
