Cassidy Rose Hammond ’17

Cassidy Rose Hammond ’17 is a bassist-vocalist in Full Body 2, a band whose unique sound encompasses shoegaze and digital soundscapes.

Based in Philadelphia, the band released an EP Infinity Signature in 2023. Describing it as “stellar,” stereogum.com writes, 

“Infinity Signature feels a bit like a My Bloody Valentine video game—full of squealing celestial melodies and blown-out power chords and crisp digital beats, all of it playing out as if under an LCD screen. It’s great stuff…”

Bandmates are guitarist-vocalist Dylan Vaisey and drummer Jack Chaffer and Full Body 2 is the second iteration of the band, originally callled Full Body. “Full Body 2 have a dense, shoegaze sound which they combine with aspects of breakcore and digital, futuristic aesthetics.” —year0001.com

Cassidy’s senior project, “’More Personable, More Tangible’”: Analog, Authenticity, and Accumulation in a Digital Age,”  explored analog media and technology, its resurgence and what draws collectors to it.
