Kristen Benner

Kristen Benner was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She spent many of her years as a performer in both theatre and dance before she learned that her true passion was stage management.
In the past few years, Kristen has shaped and expanded her skills and enthusiasm for stage management in theatre, events, and dance. In addition to the stage management track at Purchase College, Kristen found herself enjoying taking extra courses such as stage carpentry, CAD, and Vectorworks to satisfy her thirst for knowledge. Driven by curiosity and love for learning, Kristen is very excited to continue her journey as a stage manager, and to see what lengths her career can take her to.

Outside of Purchase College, Kristen has a range of experiences. She has fostered a love of Shakespeare, working on The Winter’s Tale and As You Like It. She has also explored the world of dance with The Nutcracker and has pursued work in events such as The Blues with Bobby Rush at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and The FISU Winter World University Games.
