Mark Berenson

Following an academic career that spanned 54 years, Mark Berenson holds titles of Professor Emeritus at both Baruch College, CUNY and Montclair State University. An applied statistician, he received several awards for excellence in teaching and recognition for innovative approaches taken in coauthored texts and for published pedagogical research. He also served a term as President of the NY Metropolitan Area Chapter of The American Statistical Association, was quoted in The Wall Street Journal, and had a letter on misleading graphics published in The New York Times. He was a consultant at Lenox Hill Hospital and worked three years in the Biostatistics Laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also gave training sessions in healthcare quality management that followed the guidelines established by JCAHO and were sponsored by various continuing education programs throughout the USA.
