Joanne Kivela Tillotson
Associate Professor Emerita of Biology
Joanne Tillotson taught undergraduate biology from 1996 to 2013 at Purchase College, State University of New York, where she was honored with a Pedagogy Award for innovative use of technology in the teaching laboratory (2002); the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2006); and the 2009–10 Juanita and Joseph Leff Distinguished Research Professorship, a one-year senior faculty research award.
She is the co-author, with Stephanie McCann, of the Kaplan Medical Anatomy Flashcards (2009; second edition 2013) and Fetal Pig Coloring Book: A Laboratory Manual (2007).
Dr. Tillotson received her BS in biology from the University of Dubuque and her PhD in biochemistry from Michigan State University.
