Sabrina Ehrnstein
Sabrina Ehrnstein (They/Them) is a New York City-based Costume Designer and Technician with diverse skills as a costume Illustrator, shopper, stitcher, craftsperson, and dresser.
Most recently they held the Administrative Apprentice role to the Santa Fe Opera Costume Shop in NM and stayed on as a Wardrobe Apprentice for the end of the 2023 season. Previously they were responsible for the duties of a 14-person staff as the sole Staff Stitcher and one of two Wardrobe Staff in the 2021 Season at Berkshire Theatre Group MA.
Their designs were realized at Purchase in two BFA Mainstage productions; Twelfth Night directed by Alexander Correia and Cyrano de Bergerac directed by Chris McCann. They also designed the BA Mainstage We are Proud to Present… directed by Raz Golden. Sabrina also collaborated with dancer Charlottle Aucella and choreographer Netta Yershalmey on the dance piece Wrought.
Their design work was also featured in two Apprentice Scenes at Santa Fe Opera for Suor Angelica and Der Rosenkavalier, during which they fell in love with the art of opera. Sabrina hopes to pursue costume work throughout the theatrical, operatic, and cinematic industries.
