William Bryant Miles

Assistant Professor of Theatre and Performance

williambryantmiles (WBM) is a multi-hyphenate creative professional with a commitment to provocative storytelling, innovation and Black voices. His career includes artistic and managerial roles with artists and organizations throughout the USA and London.

As an artist, WBM created and led Show: UP!, a unique performance concept presented in non-traditional spaces. Works in development include the film and series I Heart Furaha and a new performance The Incredible Drunkertons. As an independent producer WBM has brought to life over 50 projects in a wide range of spaces and locales.

WBM also created #BlackGayandonScreen, an online exploration of depictions of Black gay men in film and TV. As a strategy consultant, WBM has advised executive leadership, and designed programs and operating models at renowned institutions including The World Famous Apollo Theater, August Wilson House, and The Flea Theater, among others.
