Shelby Rose Marquardt

Shelby Rose Marquardt is a Stage Manager from Athens, GA. Beyond her time at Purchase, Shelby has worked in opera for a number of years. Highlights include Triumph Dell’onore and L’Italiana in Algeri, (Opera Memphis, SM), and a number of assorted operas as the ASM at the University of Georgia Opera. Additionally, she was classically trained in voice for eight years, and briefly pursued a degree in classical vocal performance before deciding she prefers to be behind the scenes. Prior to beginning her BFA at SUNY Purchase, Shelby was a Russian Studies major at the University of Georgia. She has an extensive knowledge of Russian literature and a special interest in the adaption of Russian literature into opera and theatre.
