Sarah Anderson Lock

Sarah Anderson Lock earned a BA in Studio Art at Mount Holyoke College, S. Hadley, MA and MFA in Painting at Parsons School of Design, NYC. She is co-founder of Rural Projects Artist Residency in New York’s Hudson Valley and has worked in arts administration throughout her career. In her work as a practicing artist, she utilizes digital tools to focus on color interaction with a minimalist, graphic aesthetic. A keen interest in how non-traditional institutions and organizations such as artist residencies build collections is one factor that led her to choose the Purchase Art History MA program, Museum and Curatorial Studies (M+) track.
