Leigh Colby

Leigh Colby graduated from Ithaca College in 2002 with a BA in Art History. After a long hiatus working in various fields, Leigh is thrilled to be entering her second year in the MA/M+ Art History Master’s Program at Purchase College with a concentration in Museum Studies. Leigh is passionate about creating museum content that is exciting and appealing to children. She is also excited to work with the students at Purchase, both graduate and undergraduate. In 5 years, she could see herself working in museum education or in a teaching capacity. Her dream job would be in museum education at the Met Cloisters or the Met. Leigh’s greatest achievement is her children, ages 7 and 9, and is committed to including them in her Master’s degree journey. When not thinking about museums and art history, Leigh loves to visit the beach, read, and take care of her 5 cats and 1 rabbit.
