Timothy Samara

Visiting Assistant Professor in Graphic Design

Throughout a career that now spans 30 years, Samara’s fascination with the mysterious practice of visual communication has only intensified. For him, design isn’t merely a tool for bumping industry’s bottom line. His life as a graphic designer began in the usual way. After graduating from the storied program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he has dove into the world of brand communications, where he has been working his way up the conventional ladder. An unexpected mix of circumstances directed him into teaching and then writing, alongside professional practice, forging a path toward the interconnected agenda that drives his day-to-day work.
