Kevin Collymore ’10

Kevin Collymore ’10 (Political Science) is an Assistant Dean of Retention and Persistence Programs at the the University of San Francisco.

As a first-generation graduate and direct recipient of the Education Opportunity Program in New York State, Collymore entered and remains committed to improving postsecondary opportunity.

He previously served as the Assistant Director of Advisement and Student Services at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate of Public Service.

He’s also been a counselor for the Council for Opportunity in Education, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to expanding college opportunities for low-income, first-generation students, veterans, and students with disabilities.

Collymore earned an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development.

While at Purchase, he interned for Michael Bloomberg’s NYC mayoral campaign from 2008–2010. He earned his degree through the Educational Opportunity Program, majoring in political science with a minor in economics.

He served as the president of the Board of Directors of Purchase College’s Alumni Association from 2015–2022.
