Jill Echo

Lecturer of Acting

Jill Echo holds a BFA and MFA from Purchase College. She currently teaches Movement for Actors, Interdisciplinary Movement Theatre and Movement: The Physical Instrument at Purchase College. 

More About Me

She has been a freelance artist with many companies and most notably a member of Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, Pearl Lange Dance Company, Janis Brenner & Dancers, Sue Bernhard Dance Works, founding member and Associate Director of TAKE Dance, founding member of Taylor 2 and a member of the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Her choreography in dance and theatre can be seen on TAKE Dance, Strangemen & Co, Skylight Music Theatre, Saratoga Opera and Universities across the United States.

Television credits include appearances on PBS Alive From Off-Center, Dance in America and American Masters.

She has taught at Alvin Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, Vassar College Long Island University CW Post, The Joffrey School, New York University, Randolph College, West Virginia University, Perry Mansfield, International Summer Dance in Burgos, Spain, Skidmore College, the University at Albany, Michael Howard Studios and for the American Academy of Ballet among others.
