Joan Maliha Katen

Joan Maliha Katen holds an MA degree and completed her Ph.D. coursework in Public Law and Government. She has received numerous awards throughout her teaching and writing career, including the National Thomas Jefferson Award for promotion of peace. She co-designed and taught a minor in Peace and Justice Studies.  As a consultant to the UN, she participated in a variety of UN panels and conferences. Joan brings knowledge, experience, energy and warmth to her classroom.
