Need a Winter Reset? Visit the Purchase Labyrinth
If you’ve passed by the Purchase Labyrinth after a snowfall, you may have noticed it looks a little different—its familiar path softened by snow. But even when it’s covered, the labyrinth remains a quiet reminder at the start of the semester: slow down, breathe, and trust the process.
Located behind the Dance Building, just beyond the Native Pollinator Garden, the labyrinth is designed with a single, continuous path—no wrong turns, no dead ends. On winter days, you don’t need to walk it to benefit from it. Simply standing nearby, taking in the stillness of a snow-covered campus, or pausing for a moment of reflection can offer the same sense of grounding and calm.
As January and February bring colder weather and fuller calendars, the Purchase Labyrinth invites faculty and staff to begin the semester with intention—whether that’s one mindful step, or simply a moment to stop and reset.
