Students and Alumni Work Together at FISU
The Purchase D/T program was well represented on the crew behind the FISU Games 2023 Opening Ceremony in Lake Placid.
On January 12, at the Olympic Center’s Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY—home to the 1980s “Miracle on Ice” hockey game—several students and alumni from our Theatre Design/Technology program worked behind the scenes to bring the FISU World Winter Games Opening Ceremony to its full splendor.
The Winter World University Games is the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic event in the world. The 11-day international festival and competition combines high-level sport with educational and cultural events, all taking place in Lake Placid and nearby towns.
