On January 12, at the Olympic Center’s Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY—home to the 1980s “Miracle on Ice” hockey game—several students and alumni from our Theatre Design/Technology program worked behind the scenes to bring the FISU World Winter Games Opening Ceremony to its full splendor.

The Winter World University Games is the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic event in the world. The 11-day international festival and competition combines high-level sport with educational and cultural events, all taking place in Lake Placid and nearby towns.
