Leandra Torres Receives Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award
Awarded for Student Excellence
EOP Senior and Theatre and Performance major, Leandra Torres has been chosen as a recipient of the 2022 Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for EOP Student Excellence. The award, which bears the name of the late Norman McConney, one of the architects of the statewide Educational Opportunity Program and a champion of youth empowerment, celebrates EOP students who have overcome significant obstacles in life to achieve their educational and personal goals. Leandra was unable to receive the award in person at the ceremony in Albany but was honored along with other worthy award recipients at a reception hosted by SUNY Chancellor, Deborah F. Stanley.
