New Staff Member Spotlight: Meet Arabia Aguilera

Arabia Aguilera graduated from Purchase College in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and is now back working in the Office of Admissions as the new Operations Coordinator.

In her role she works closely with the Assistant Director of Events and Campus Visits. Arabia is responsible for printing and releasing Admission’s decisions. She also oversees all mailings within the office. In addition, she assists with supervising the ambassador team when necessary.

Arabia is thrilled to be working professionally on campus because she says “It’s home” to her. Like many others on campus Arabia held a few campus jobs while as a student and was excited to be welcomed back. Arabia is most excited about having the opportunity to grow within the college. She is currently pursuing her MSED in School Counseling at LIU on the Purchase campus. 

In her spare time, Arabia enjoys watching TV, listening to music, and taking walks with her dog. A fun fact about Arabia is that she knows how to knit. If the knitting club decides to reconvene they may have a new member! 

Prospective students and families enjoy speaking with her about her experiences and success while here at Purchase. They thrive while listening to her stories because you can tell they are truly coming from a genuine place. Being an alumna of the college makes Arabia a true asset within the Office of Admissions.
