Lecturer Kim Bartosik Earns Bessie Honors
Congratulations to Kim Bartosik, lecturer in dance, for her Bessie nomination in the category of outstanding production for through the mirror of their eyes presented at New York Live Arts in March 2020.
Due to the pandemic that devastated live performing arts, the organizers of The New York Dance and Performance Awards, known as the Bessies, have decided to forego individual awards this year, instead honoring all nominees.
The Bessies are New York City’s premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field. All of the nominees being honored presented live performance work prior to the March 15 citywide shutdown due to the pandemic.
The 36th annual Bessies Ceremony will be streamed on a virtual platform on Monday, December 14, at 7:30pm.
