Creator of Know the Vote App
President and founder of Way Creative House, Nickay Piper ’17 (liberal studies) was interviewed on PIX11 Morning News.
Piper created the Know the Vote app that helps voters stay informed about the election details, political parties, and who exactly is on the ballot before getting to the polls.
The Bronx native saw a lack of civic education and with her team started the app creation process in 2018. Piper refers to the project as a labor of love. “It took us two years so that people could understand politics in two minutes.”
The app features a twenty question quiz allowing users to determine where they stand politically and with which party they most align.
