Spike Wilner MM ’07 Reopens NYC Jazz Club
Alumnus Spike Wilner, owner of Smalls Jazz Club and Mezzrow, is using creative strategies to reopen. Smalls will be the first NYC jazz club to return to live, on-site performances!
According to The New York Times, “The musicians will be alone in the club except for an engineer and a manager. The audience will be at home, watching via the livestream that has regularly broadcast Smalls shows.”
The unique solution will provide the jazz musicians with a desperately needed opportunity to play and earn income, and will provide their patrons with exciting new content.
