Sixth Annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

Saturday, March 16 at 11am to 4pm in Library labs 1004C & 1004D.

Wikipedia is the largest and most popular general reference work on the internet, with more than 40 million articles in more than 250 different languages. When there are gaps in coverage about women, gender, feminism, and the arts on one of the world’s most-visited websites, it’s a big problem, and we need your help to fix it! When we don’t tell our stories or participate in preserving our history, we risk its erasure.

This year’s campaign centers around Gender + The Non-Binary

This will be an all day communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to art and feminism. We will provide tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian, reference materials, snacks, and refreshments. Computers will be available. Feel free to bring your own laptop, power cord, and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. For the editing-averse, we urge you to stop by to show your support!

All are welcome! This event is inclusive, free, and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate!
