Max Pearce ’18 Finishes Third in Slam Dunk Competition

While he may not have won the competition, the entire Purchase community is proud of Max Pearce ’18 (economics). He made it through the Sweet 16 of hopefuls paired online to compete for a spot in the State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships scheduled for March 29.

Now in its 30th year, the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships feature 24 of the best collegiate dunkers and sharpshooters showcasing their skills live on ESPN.

He landed in third place at the competition held last night in San Antonio, TX at St. Mary’s University’s Bill Greehey Arena during the NCAA Final Four weekend to compete in a series of competitions.

It’s been a great year for Pearce, who also won Purchase College’s first annual Start-Up Pitching competition.
