Accessibility for Students and Guests
Here you will find information about accessible parking, wheelchair access, and other common accessibility-related concerns.
Students
During commencement, students will need to access the stage via stairs. If you will require use of the elevator/lift (rather than the stairs) to access the stage at commencement, or access to wheelchair accessible transportation from Purchase College to the Westchester County Center, please complete our survey. by Wednesday, May 14.
Guests
Accessible Parking Lots & Spaces
Those with official accessible parking hangtags may utilize accessible lots and spaces. Purchase College does not issue these hangtags.
For Guests Who Are Unable to Walk From the Parking Lot
Please pull up on Central Avenue to drop them off in front of the Westchester County Center.
Building Point of Entry
Ramp entry into the building is possible at the doors to the right of the main stairwell.
Elevators
An elevator is located inside the building just as you enter through the ramp entry doors.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are not provided by the County Center.
Wheelchair Users
There is no specific ticket for accessible seating, but designated floor seating is reserved for those in wheelchairs. Guests must have a ticket and will be allowed one companion in the designated seating area.
Tickets
There is no specific ticket for accessible seating. Each guest will need a standard guest ticket in order to enter the ceremony venue at the Westchester County Center.
Closed Captioning services will be provided.
First aid service will also be available in case of an emergency.
