A Message from the Director

Welcome! Since 1968, Purchase College has proudly served the lifelong learning needs of our neighbors in Westchester and Fairfield counties. Whether you’re seeking professional development, personal enrichment, or programs for youth and precollege students, our mission remains the same: to provide transformative educational experiences that enrich lives and careers.

The School of Continuing Education offerings include noncredit professional certificate programs and personal enrichment courses across a wide range of interests - from studio art classes in painting and drawing to  online courses and programs  in partnership with leading adult education providers.

Special sessions in summer and winter offer flexible options to help you get ahead or stay on track so you can finish in four. Whether you’re a Purchase College undergraduate or a visiting student from another institution, you can take advantage of competitive New York State in-state tuition or discounted rates for Fairfield County residents. Winter courses are accelerated, 100% online, and asynchronous, while summer courses are available in 4- or 8-week formats—online (asynchronous or synchronous), hybrid, or fully in-person. You can earn up to 12 credits in just eight weeks!

Our  Summer Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts  provide immersive enrichment experiences for middle and high school students. These programs ignite creativity and passion in areas such as acting, creative writing, filmmaking, songwriting, voice, performing arts, and visual arts - led by experienced educators and teaching artists.
