Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Student Accounts
Q: When are Spring 2018 bills out? When are they due?
A: Spring 2018 semester eBills are now available online. All students received an automatic email letting them know their bill is available to view online through their myHeliotrope account. We do not mail paper bills out. Now that the bills are released, students can sign up for payment plans and waive the medical insurance. Please review our Dates and Deadlines page for further important information.
The due date for Spring 2018 bills is January 10th, 2018
Q: How do I access my eBill?
A: Simply log on to myHeliotrope and you will find the “View my Semester eBill” box located in the Student Accounts tab. You will need to use your Purchase credentials to log in. Review, download, and save your eBill for future reference. You can also e-mail your eBill to your parent/guardian or to companies that need a copy of your semester charges such as college savings plans, military or employee benefits and private insurance proof of semester activity.
Q: How do I waive the school’s health insurance?
A: THE DEADLINE TO WAIVE YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE FOR FALL 2017 HAS PASSED (9/15/2017). YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WAIVE YOUR INSURANCE AGAIN FOR THE SPRING 2018 SEMESTER ONCE THE EBILLS ARE RELEASED.
In order to waive this process students must complete the online waiver with their current health insurance information.
To access the waiver form the student should follow the steps below:
- Log into myHeliotrope through the purple link on the right side of the www.purchase.edu/portal page.
- Choose the “Student Account” box
- Then, you will see the link that says “Health Insurance Waiver”; this is the link which will allow you to access the waiver form
From here please follow the steps as they prompt you to complete the required documents in order to waive your Purchase Health Insurance.
Foreign Students must contact the Office of International Programs and Services. You must provide proof of coverage on or before the deadlines indicated in your eBill. Providing your health insurance coverage is required every year to successfully waive the college coverage.
Personal Check, Money Order, Bank Check, Cashier’s Check
Please include the student’s Purchase ID Number (PID) on the check. Please make checks payable to: “PURCHASE COLLEGE”
Credit Cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover)
If you use Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus, or American Express to pay all or a portion of your semester charges, please pay online through the student’s myHeliotrope at http://www.purchase.edu/portal.
There is no fee for paying via credit card.
Alternatively, if you cannot make a payment online, please use the credit card authorization form and fax it or mail back to our office. For your protection, we cannot accept this form via email. Please be advised if you miscalculate your charges, we will adjust the amount accordingly.
