What is your motivation to succeed?

My family. My parents fought to give me the opportunity to go to college, and I’ve known since 2024’s EOP summer academy that I was given an opportunity that most of my family weren’t given. I work multiple jobs on campus, study hard, and keep myself busy with studio work, all in hopes to progress myself as an artist and a professional.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you.

I make my own music, & I produce, mix & master for others as well. I have SO many hobbies, including frequent skateboarding & bike rides, roller-blading, crocheting, photography, and playing many instruments. I also work 3 jobs starting this semester.

What are your long-term goals?

As long as I’m getting paid for working on music, I’ll be happy. Maybe become drake-level famous? Or maybe I could run a small studio for Beyonce in the Bahamas. I also want to be the next Tony Hawk on the skateboard, regardless of whether or not the music thing works out.

What does EOP/MAP mean to you?

I feel so blessed to be in EOP. I wasn’t a good student in high school at all, but my EOP mentor & counselors really gave me the confidence & extra support I needed to do all the things I’m doing now. I came back to EOP as a mentor myself, & the experience reminded me that EOP really is a family. The amount I’ve grown since my freshman year to now is incredible to me, & I thank EOP for a lot of that.

What’s your most invaluable experience at Purchase?

It has to be this year’s EOP summer academy. It was genuinely the greatest job I’ve ever had. I bonded so much with the EOP mentors & staff, and all the incoming freshmen were incredibly kind & hilarious. It was a summer for the books for sure.
