Sean Weiner ’05
Sean Weiner is an Emmy-nominated producer, editor, and nonprofit arts leader based in the Hudson Valley, and an Assistant Professor of Cinema Studies.
He’s a producer and editor on Adam Meeks’ debut feature, Union County, starring Will Poulter and Noah Centineo. The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in the US Dramatic Competition and has since been acquired by Oscilloscope Laboratories for a theatrical release in the summer or fall of 2026.
A second film on which he was producer and editor, The Boys and the Bees (2025), was also selected for the 2026 Sundance Festival. Directed by Arielle C. Knight, the film earned the Short Film Jury Award: Nonfiction.
Other recent projects include Full Month (2025) and más y más y más flores (2023).
Sean has previously produced and edited award-winning films selected by Berlinale, Guanajuato, Sundance, SXSW, and acquired by Criterion, Fox Searchlight, HBOMax, NYT Op-Docs, and POV.
He is a co-founder and co-director of UFO, a filmmaker support nonprofit.

Previously, Sean was the Director of Programs and the founding Director of Creative Culture at the Jacob Burns Film Center.
