Maxine Nodel
Maxine Nodel is an award-winning art educator and professional visual artist with 35+ years of extensive exemplary experience as an adult and high school multimedia art educator, and writer. She holds a B.F.A. from Cooper Union and an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College where she studied writing privately with Allen Ginsberg. In 2002, Maxine was awarded Bill and Melinda Gates, Carnegie, and Annenberg Foundation grants to create an art high school in NYC, Millennium Art Academy (MAA). In 2009, MAA received The Lincoln Center Institute 1st-Place Award for Most Imaginative Curriculum in NYC.
