Tessa Freeman ’22

Tessa Freeman is a current student at the Georgetown University Law Center (class of 2027).

Prior to entering the legal field, Tessa worked as Program Administrator and Ballet Faculty at Manhattan Youth Ballet (MYB), a non-profit Pre-Professional ballet school in New York City that serves students ages 7-18. At MYB, Tessa worked to develop a Wellness Program for students, incorporating elements of strength training and mental health support into the curriculum.

Tessa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Purchase College in 2022, with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Arts Management. During her time at Purchase, she had the opportunity to perform in works by George Balanchine (including lead roles in Tarantella and Serenade), Doug Varone, and Bettijane Sills. Tessa also worked as an intern at the New Shokkan Kitchen Island Project presenting Statuefest, a theatrical project producing monologues through monthly Zoom performances about incredible women that have been mostly ignored by history.

In addition to her degrees from Purchase, Tessa is also a certified personal trainer and specialist in Sports Nutrition through the International Sports Sciences Association™ and a certified Pilates Instructor through the Art and Science of Contrology.™

After graduation from Georgetown Law, Tessa hopes to remain in the Washington, DC area to practice.
