Nathaniel H. Siegel

Professor Emeritus of Sociology

Nathaniel Siegel is a professor emeritus of sociology and former senior vice president for academic affairs (1979–94) at Purchase College. His interests include the treatment of physical and mental health problems, alcoholism and addictions, and the assessment of mental health programs. He has been a consultant for the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the President’s Commission on National Violence.

Professor Siegel currently lives in Larchmont, N.Y., with his wife Annabelle.
