Luellen Abdoo ’77

Violinist Luellen Abdoo ’77 has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and concert halls around the world, playing with such prominent ensembles as the New York Philharmonic and the New York Ballet Orchestra.

She has also been featured on recordings and videos with Aerosmith and Oasis and has played in concerts with Bon Jovi, Ray Charles, The Who, and other rock/pop stars.

Abdoo is the founding member of the Synergy String Quartet, which she formed in 2001. For over 20 years, she has been the artistic director for a regional chamber music series by the New York City Ballet Musicians and Friends.

Abdoo has performed on national television, as well as on National Public Radio, WBAI, and WQXR. She has been featured in books, news articles, and international magazines such as The Strad.
