Gregory Wharmby

Lecturer of Visual Arts

Greg Wharmby is an artist, musician, curator, and educator currently living in Eastern Connecticut. He works with people, noise, cement, spray paint, photographs, general detritus and debris, among other things to build community, collections, exhibitions, and experiences. Greg exhibits in galleries, online, in public and domestic spaces, and is currently developing a body of work that will be pocket portable. Greg has traveled across the country over 75 times and had passed through, lived, performed, and exhibited in many cities in the United States, all the while collecting scraps of memories that eventually find their way into his work. Greg is the primary instructor for Arts Open Access, Discovering The Arts.

Greg is a two-time recipient of The Strypemonde Teaching Fellowship and a Purchase College MFA/MA/M+ Graduate
