Mike Burgo ’10

Mike graduated from Purchase College in 2010 with his BA in Drama Studies. While at Purchase Mike was involved in countless productions presented in the Humanities Theatre, served as the Co-President of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Union (GLBTU), a Senator of the Purchase Student Government Association, First Year Experience Resident Assistant, and as an Orientation Leader and Orientation Coordinator Assistant.Purchase was Mike’s second home and he is so happy to be a member of the Purchase Alumni Association! His work in Student Affairs and Higher Education stems from his experiences as a student at Purchase!

Mike received his MA in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2015 and is currently a PhD student in Sociology of Education at NYU. Additionally he works at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering as the Associate Director, Student Engagement within the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement.
