Iuliia Chikish is an applied microeconomist. Her research focuses on urban, sports and behavioral economics. Her main interests involve studying the effects of monetary and non-monetary incentives on effort provision.

Other broad research interests include studying effects of professional sport facilities and teams on development of local economies, and eSports. Her research is forthcoming in Economic Inquiry, Journal of Regional Analysis and Policy, and Journal of Economics and Finance Education. She co-wrote the chapter on Behavioral Economics in Sport in Handbook of Sports Economics, and the chapter on eSports in Spanish Economic Papers.
