Richard A. Muskus, Jr.

Richard A. Muskus Jr. maintains over 30 years of experience in community banking and financial services. Currently he serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Lending Officer, and the Director of Business and Consumer Banking with First County Bank (Stamford, CT) since January of 2022. In this role he manages financial objectives, leads lending strategies, risk management and initiatives in collaboration with Wealth Management, Retail, and Cash Management divisions. Mr. Muskus has held senior & executive management roles overseeing multiple business units for a number of years. Key past roles include serving as Chief Revenue Officer with Carver Federal Savings Bank (New York) as well as various capacities with Patriot Bank (Stamford, CT) to include as its EVP & Chief Lending Officer in 2014 before being named President & Director in 2017.

A lifelong resident of Greenwich, Mr. Muskus is well known in the community and is a highly respected second-generation banker. He began his career with State Street Bank in Boston before expanding into analytical roles with Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan Investment Management. Mr. Muskus became SVP of Commercial Lending at The Greenwich Bank & Trust Company in 2000 before serving as President from 2010 to 2014.

He currently serves as Treasurer and Board member of the Town of Greenwich Human Services Foundation; member of the Board of Trustees of the Purchase College Foundation; Director Emeritus and former Board President of the Transportation Association of Greenwich; President of the Josef Pilsudski Society of Greenwich; and Fiduciary of the Jane C. Bausman Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Muskus earned his B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University in Waltham, MA. He resides in Riverside, CT with his wife and three children.
