Sean Weiner ’05: Producer and Editor on Two Sundance Films
The Cinema Studies alum worked on the feature film Union County and the short The Boys and the Bees.
Union County, the debut feature written and directed by Adam Meeks and starring Will Poulter and Noah Centineo, premiered in the US Dramatic Competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Sean Weiner ’05 (Cinema Studies), Assistant Professor of Cinema Studies, was editor and producer on the acclaimed breakout feature that had audiences on their feet.
Look for a theatrical release of Union County in the summer or fall of 2026 following its recent acquisition by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
Weiner was also editor and producer on the short The Boys and the Bees, directed by Arielle C. Knight, which earned the Short Film Jury Award: Nonfiction.
Weiner co-founded and co-directs UFO, a filmmaker support nonprofit, where Knight was a fellow in the UFO Short Film Lab. Fellows receive early career support over 18 months as they produce two short film projects from development through distribution.
