New Cohort of Interns Busy in the Field
Welcome to our Land Stewardship and Invasive Species interns for 2024–2025.
A warm welcome to the new cohort of invasive species and land stewardship interns.
Invasive species interns are paid for their academic internship work by the NY Department of Environmental Conservation invasive species grant.
Projects so far have included marking and clearing a new trail into the Blind Brook Forest Restoration plot. They also conducted restoration plantings in woodland spaces cleared by the last cohort if interns last summer.
Allyson Jackson, Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, was awarded a $99,480 grant by the New York State Department of Conservation to empower students to help protect the environment.
