Work by Khalif Tahir Thompson ’18 at The Armory Show

According to the New York Times, Thompson’s work was a “standout.”

Khalif Tahir Thompson ’18 (Painting and Drawing, Art History minor) represented Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery at this year’s Armory Show in New York City (on view September 6–8, 2024, at the Javits Center).

“A standout for me is the American artist Khalif Tahir Thompson at the multicity Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery. Thompson uses paint, yarn, handmade paper — even pleather — to portray friends and family in a manner that is both casual and ornate.”

Martha Schwendener, New York Times Art Fair Review, The Armory Show

Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery also published Thompson’s first monograph this year with SKIRA editions, and the artist illustrated a picture book about  Toni Morrison, A Crown of Stories: The Life and Language of Beloved Writer Toni Morrison.
