Raechelle Manalo ’20 Joins Paul Taylor Dance Co.

Manalo had once been a teen ensemble member at the Taylor School.

Congratulations to Raechelle Manalo ’20 (dance; arts management minor) for joining the Paul Taylor Dance Company, one of the world’s most preeminent modern dance institutions. Manalo made her professional debut with Ballet Hispanico’s BHdos in 2019. She performed as a member of MeenMoves and the Headlights Theater and has danced works by Joseph Hernandez, Sameena Mitta, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Annie Rigney, Bennyroyce Royon, Anouk van Dijk as well as masterworks by Merce Cunningham and José Limón. 

Manalo studied at the Taylor School as a Teen Ensemble member. Originally from Secaucus, NJ, she graduated summa cum laude from Purchase and was the recipient of the President’s Award for Achievement in Dance.

She was selected to study abroad at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she performed work by Susan Peacock.
