The Alchemy of Meth by Professor Jason Pine Earns Honorable Mentions

Acknowledged by The Society for Cultural Anthropology and the Society for Humanistic Anthropology.

The Society for Cultural Anthropology and the Society for Humanistic Anthropology both recognized The Alchemy of Meth: A Decomposition (University of Minnesota Press, 2019), written by Jason Pine, professor of anthropology and media studies in their awards this year.

The Society for Cultural Anthropology’s 2020 Gregory Bateson Book Prize named The Alchemy of Meth as an honorable mention.

The book also received an honorable mention by the Society for Humanistic Anthropology for their 2020 Victor Turner Prize in Ethnographic Writing.
